The Inner Hebrides of Scotland is a small group of islands just off the west coast of Scotland in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. The Skye Cuillin range of mountains are dark with jagged peaks, and excellent for the adventurous mountain climber, whereas a much gentler scene is the Isle of Eigg where you will find soft sandy beaches and gentle hills. The Isle of Skye is an important centre for Gaelic culture and as such there is much to offer the tourist, from the Skye and Lochalsh Festival to the bold statement of Dunvegan Castle, Skye is awash with interesting places to visit.
